This Month's Favourite Scarf Knot - The Headscarf

The Headscarf

Depending on where in the world you are at the moment, you might find it's too warm to wear your scarves around the neck. For this reason we wanted to share with you some chic headscarf looks.

I’ve always loved the 1950’s style of wearing the scarf like a tight ‘hood’ as worn by Brigitte Bardot and Liz Taylor.

To get the look, you would need a medium square scarf, fold it in half into a triangle, place the long side along your hairline and tie the two corners around your neck.

You could also go for a summery ‘beach look’ as shown on the left. For this you will also need a medium square scarf folded into a triangle. Firstly, tie your hair up into a bun. Looking down and with the longest side of the scarf placed along the hairline on the back of your neck, bring the two corners around to the front and over the right angle of the scarf. Tie a double knot then fold the right angle corner up, wrapping the knot you just made. Now tuck the ends in to the sides and adjust the front of the headscarf.  You could also try the look with the knot tied to the side such as in the image on the right

This is one of my everyday look, it looks great with one of our Animal Scarves but you could also create this look with any long scarf too. Depending on the width, fold it in half if needed, place along your hairline and knot at the back.
